It is time… Time for writing a series that I wanted to do when I was doing the job! It will be titled the “THE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HIGH SCHOOL SECURITY GUARD.”
I spent 20+ years in corporate America! Retired and was doing some seasonal work – to stay busy. A little over 3.5 years ago, I started on the journey of doing something that I thought would be interesting, keep my young and hopefully I could share some of my experiences with high school students. I can safely say that I enjoyed my time doing that work! The only thing that stopped my from continuing is a partial knee replacement and wanting to retire fully and spend time with my wife and family.
I will be writing the topics and stories from my point of view. I will not be naming names… I will be sharing incidents, but I want to also point out how each of us can do better for our young adults (the future leaders, businessmen and women, next professional athlete’s and people in our community).
I was blessed to do that work at one of the largest public high school in the state of Arizona. Enrollment was either close to 4+K student enrollment, 300+ teachers and staff. I started out as just the new guy in the halls to leading the security team my last year.
