It has been just over 2 weeks of seasonal work… So far it has been really good. I truly am enjoying my time talking with customers. The biggest thing is I made it thru Black Friday!
Since I have never worked in retail, I never knew what it was like to partake in Black Friday from the ‘other’ side. It is crazy! I knew there were going to be people out Thanksgiving night shopping – I just did not realize the lines of people that wait to get into the store. When I walked up, I was shocked to see how many people were already waiting to enter the store.
I have met quite a few people! Talking golf and sharing stories about shots made – are almost as good as the fish stories! So far to date, I have only ran into one person from my past employment. A family that I worked with and help coach one of their sons in hockey! It was at least 3 years since we seen each other – it was great to catch up. I also sold a new driver to their youngest son!
When I am not in the store… I am busy brushing up on my knowledge on products that I have not used yet.
Well, I can’t spend too much writing now, as I have to get ready to go to work!
