What Is Insane Leadership?

4835209_sI did my Google Search on “What is insane leadership?” and nothing really came up as a definition. Decided to try a Bing Search and once again nothing came up. What did come up was the simple definition for insane… Oxford Press says, “in a state of mind that prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction.” Merriam-Webster says, “1: not normal or healthy in mind . 2: used by or for people who are insane <an insane asylum> 3: very foolish or unreasonable.”

I wonder if we can take insane and leadership and put them together?

My take on insane leadershipA person in a leadership role acts is in a state of mind that prevents normal perception. He/she acts very foolish and unreasonable.

Does it take a lot to see anyone that fits this definition? I find it extremely easy to look act our political leadership and we can locate an example. It does not matter what side of the political side you are on. You can locate one that fits the definition. It all stems from what is “normal” within your own perception.

Do you think Donald Trump, Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton, President Obama or any of the other candidates that have thrown their names in the laundry list of candidates would fall into the insane leadership definition?

It is safe to say that we do have some pretty insane leadership in our political arena. Maybe you have to be a little insane to take on that role. (Just not to the extreme, please) Or maybe those folks are taking a play from the shock jock playbook. Go to the extreme to get noticed, talked about and so on. No publicity is bad publicity…

For me, I am getting pretty sick and tired of the demonstration of insane leadership. When I see it, I do a simple review of the “true” facts and move on. If they must go to the extreme to shock us, they definitely have lost my vote…

So let’s look at it.. I was going to list those insane leaders that would never get my vote… But, I don’t want this post to go on forever.
