About the Author:

Steve Bell joined Intel Corporation in May 1982. Definitely seems like a very long time ago; time flies when you are having fun! As you can guess, Steve has held various management positions throughout the company that include manufacturing, quality assurance and information technology. At the present time, he is leading a team of program managers and is responsible for Intel’s internal users productivity and collaboration (with an emphasis within unified communications, team work spaces and social computing). Steve is very passionate when leading people, motivating and leading his teams to go to great lengths to accomplish their passions.
Steve recently retired as an ice hockey coach due to a hip replacement. Steve has always felt that sports and competition helped to form his desire to become a leader. His passion for teaching helped drive him to coaching. Steve spent over 20 years volunteer coaching youth sports (especially ice hockey and girls’ fast pitch softball) and was a board member of Arizona High School Hockey Association – a non-profit aimed at administration of high school ice hockey.
Steve is currently spending his time on a potpourri of activities:
- Volunteering with Ignite Phoenix
- Participating in area Social Media Clubs and activities
- Writing both internal and external blogs (kicked off Spin-O-Rama this year – tying his passion for leadership and hockey).
- Member of Haley Elementary School (Chandler Unified School District) Site Council.
- Spending time with his first grandchild, Melia.
- With the spare time, Steve enjoys spending all other moments with his wife, Randi; and two adult children, Erin and Brandon.
What is the Blog About:
Spin-O-Rama is about Steve’s experiences and thoughts about leadership, leading teams and of course, hockey!
